Wow… so many things happened in one month…
br>
I’ve been insanely busy at LK… but mellow times are back, now that I’ve finished the intro for this video.
The rest of the animation (AE & C4D) is entirely made by Naomie Ross with a little help from the majestic Dennis. Creative direction by Daniel Dörnemann.
But this is actually not the final version… we’ll have a “director’s cut”… meaning that I need to re-work the outro

Waiting for this to be out, there is another project that I wrapped up recently.
I made the promo videos for a new French webTV show about live music : BAND . Nothing crazy, but it was small enough to have real fun doing it. Have a look.

The whole thing was made over 3 weekends (concept/design, animation, tool-kiting) and was delivered as a AE toolkit. Meaning that by changing just a few parameters in the AEP file, the client was able to generate a different promo for each show.

Getting into some geeky talk, I should also mention that I’ve released the version 2.6 of my ABCshelf for Maya : get it here.

Finally, a couple of random news
- FRANKY is officially in production. The animatic v2 is out, I have (almost) all my shots locked and I’m starting to push renders out (first two shots are rendered, comped, “done”). Soon I’ll show stuff.
- 8BITS has won two awards in 2 weeks : “Best Animation Short” award at the Maverick Movie Awards 2011 and “Best Film, Animation Shorts” award at the Ventura Film Festival. Always feels good to brag.
- ELECTRIC PROJECTED has been successfully rebooted and it’s happening THIS SATURDAY (10/01). So please, join us at Beacon, NY to enjoy this wonderful event miraculously surviving. Hell yeah!
